Configuring Matching Policies

To configure the Matching Policies property fields, do the following:

  1. Ensure that the Properties tab of the Settings page is selected.
  2. Select Matching Policies, positioned under the title of the tab.

  1. Select the Other, Base and Extended property fields that you want to use to determine whether two customers are actually the same customer.
  2. Click Save to save your choice.

You can return to the Matching Policies page at any time to change the selected fields. However, the new settings will only apply to future customer matches. Existing matches using the old settings will be retained by the system.

In order to edit the Matching Policies, the customer base must be empty (no customers, no events).
