Slave mode: Do your contacts already have an ID?
To facilitate integration with the existing systems, Hub inherits the ID that has been assigned, for example, by your CRM, customer service, e-commerce site, or a store. As a result, data that belongs to an individual customer is more easily recognized and attributable.

Hub stores all actions that take place on your systems before the relevant customer is identified. Everything someone has done in the past is not be lost, but will be added to their profile, once the appropriate customer has been identified.
